Peroxide Blonde

The new series of illustrations is called Peroxide Blonde, just to suggest the derogatory meaning implicitly hidden in the well-known cliché of the fake blonde.
Adhering to a cliché or avoiding it is very common nowadays, and the changing is an inevitable part of our life. So... why not illustrate it in a funny, lively and playful way?

Peroxide Blonde is about how we can really be ourselves. We can do that by looking “inside” us and showing ourselves in a way that is completely different from the image or the idea that the others may have about us.
Just like in the previous series (Portraits CMJN), the idea at the basis of this project is to deal with two main themes: female characters, on one hand, and portraits, on the other. In this particular case, however, the attention is focused on the metamorphosis, on the unveiling of oneself.
